All of our courses can be taught on your own boat or on our RIB - we have a 5.3m 70hp Humber. Customers’ own boats will be required to meet a minimum level of safety criteria. Gill’s Powerboat School offer the RYA Powerboat courses Level 1, 2, Intermediate and the Advanced Certificate for the more experienced powerboat user. We also offer an International Certificate of Competence (I.C.C.) course and other various specialised courses, as well as a powerboat delivery and collection service and services for new boat owners or those looking to buy a RIB/Powerboat. Gill’s Powerboat School is open all year round and operates out of the historic fishing port of Falmouth. Falmouth is located in south Cornwall. Falmouth is one of the finest watersports locations within the United Kingdom and is host to numerous sailing and powerboating events such as Falmouth Week. Falmouth Harbour, including the Carrick Roads, is reputed to be the third largest natural harbour in the world. The town offers a wide range of amenities and provides the perfect base to combine powerboating tuition with relaxation and recreation. Principal Instructor, Mark Gill, is an RYA Advanced Powerboat Instructor. He has many years experience with powerboats and sailing, including a period as Principal of a sailing school in Oxfordshire. Professionalism and customer service are key to all the activities run by Gill’s Powerboat School Gill’s Powerboat School also offers skippered RIB charter for trips around the coast. Charters are also available for corporate hospitality, special occasions, TV/Film companies and safety/rescue duties for all water sports.
